Privacy Policy
This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Stone to Stars game, launcher, and website at woolyrocket.com (including account, billing, wiki, and market tools).
What we collect
- Account data — username, email (when provided), password hashes, optional authenticator secrets, and session cookies for the website.
- Gameplay & characters — character progress, inventory, bank, market orders, and related server logs needed to run a multiplayer world.
- Billing — Stripe processes payments. We store subscription/pass entitlement state and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Security & abuse — login IP hashes or trust markers, bans/mutes, appeals, bug reports, and security event logs.
- Optional newsletter — email if you subscribe (double opt-in).
- Technical — server status heartbeats, approximate request metadata for rate limits and fraud prevention.
How we use it
- Operate the game, website, and membership billing.
- Verify email ownership, reset passwords, and send transactional security mail (when configured).
- Moderate the community, investigate abuse, and respond to appeals/bug tickets.
- Send newsletter updates only if you confirmed subscription.
Sharing
We use processors such as Stripe (payments), email delivery (e.g. Resend when configured), and Cloudflare (hosting/CDN). We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Signed-in players can download an account export and request soft-deletion from the Security / Privacy tab.
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in those emails.
- Membership cancellations and receipts are available via Manage billing (Stripe Customer Portal) on your account.
Retention
We keep account and game data while your account exists and as needed for security, billing records, and legal obligations. Soft-deleted accounts are blocked from login; residual records may remain for anti-abuse and finance compliance.
